℣.The righteous shall flourish like a palm-tree.
℟.And shall spread abroad like a cedar in Libanus.

Whosoever will come after me * let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me.
Collect
O God, who didst hallow this day by the martyrdom of blessed Alban: grant, we beseech thee, that we who year by year rejoice in his feast day may be supported by his continual assistance. Through thy Son Jesus Christ our Lord, who with thee in the unity of the Holy Spirit, liveth and reigneth God, world without end.
℟.Amen.
