O God, who hast consecrated this day by the martyrdom of thine Apostles Peter and Paul: grant unto thy Church that in all things she may follow the precepts of those through whom she received the beginning of her religion. Through thy Son Jesus Christ our Lord, who with thee in the unity of the Holy Spirit, liveth and reigneth God, world without end.
