Proper of the feast

From the Common of Feasts of the Blessed Virgin Mary. As said in its commemoration on Friday, April 23, 2027.

At I Vespers · Antiphon Common

O holy Mary, * help thou the suffering, strengthen the faint-hearted, comfort the sorrowful; pray for the people, entreat for the clergy, intercede for all womankind vowed unto God: may all acknowledge the help of thy prayer, who celebrate thy holy festival.

Versicle at Vespers Common

℣.Vouchsafe that I may praise thee, O holy Virgin.

℟.Give me strength against thine enemies.

At Lauds · Antiphon Common

Blessed art thou, * O Mary, for thou hast believed: and there shall be a performance in thee of those things which were told thee from the Lord, alleluia.

Versicle at Lauds Common

℣.Full of grace are thy lips.

℟.Because God hath blessed thee for ever.

At II Vespers · Antiphon Common

All generations * shall call me blessed: for God hath regarded the lowliness of his handmaiden.

Collect Common

Grant, we beseech thee, O Lord God, that we thy servants may rejoice in continual health of mind and body: and that by the glorious intercession of blessed Mary ever Virgin we may be delivered from this present heaviness, and have the fruition of eternal joy. Through thy Son Jesus Christ our Lord, who with thee in the unity of the Holy Spirit, liveth and reigneth God, world without end.

℟.Amen.
