℟.And madest him to have dominion of the works of thy hands.
At Lauds · Antiphon Common
He that hateth his life * in this world shall keep it unto life eternal.
Versicle at Lauds Common
℣.The righteous shall flourish like a palm-tree.
℟.And shall spread abroad like a cedar in Libanus.
Collect
O Lord, we beseech thee favourably to hear the prayers of thy people: that, as we do rejoice in the passion of blessed Marcellus thy Martyr and Bishop, so we may be succoured by his merits. Through thy Son Jesus Christ our Lord, who with thee in the unity of the Holy Spirit, liveth and reigneth God, world without end.
℟.Amen.
