Proper of the feast

Proper to the feast; texts marked Common are from the Common of Virgins. As said in its commemoration on Monday, January 18, 2027.

At I Vespers · Antiphon Common

Come, thou Bride of Christ, * receive the crown which the Lord hath prepared for thee for ever.

Versicle at I Vespers Common

℣.In thy grace and in thy beauty.

℟.Go forth, ride prosperously, and reign.

At Lauds · Antiphon Common

The kingdom of heaven * is likened unto a merchantman seeking goodly pearls; who, when he had found one pearl of great price, went and sold all that he had, and bought it.

Versicle at Lauds Common

℣.Full of grace are thy lips.

℟.Because God hath blessed thee for ever.

Collect

Grant, we beseech thee, Almighty God: that we who honour the birthday of blessed Prisca, thy Virgin and Martyr, may both rejoice in her yearly festival, and profit by the example of so great a faith. Through thy Son Jesus Christ our Lord, who with thee in the unity of the Holy Spirit, liveth and reigneth God, world without end.

℟.Amen.
